In short
- We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
- Our website works with a keyboard, screen readers and zoom.
- If something does not work for you, tell us and we will fix it or help another way.
1. Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to use our website and the platforms we build, whatever their abilities and however they access the web. This policy applies to utinnovation.co.uk. We follow the same standard when we build websites for our clients.
2. The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. These are international guidelines for making web content accessible to people with disabilities.
3. What we do
On our website, you should be able to:
- use every page and form with a keyboard alone, with a clear outline showing where you are;
- use a screen reader, with headings, labels and descriptions in a logical order;
- zoom in up to 400% without losing content, and change text size in your browser;
- read text with good colour contrast against its background;
- see clear error messages next to the right field if something is missing on a form;
- pause background videos using the pause button; and
- reduce movement. If you turn on the reduce motion setting on your device, our animations and background videos are switched off.
The background videos on our website are decorative and have no sound. All important information is also given in text.
4. Known limitations
We test our website ourselves and fix issues as we find them. Our website has not yet been audited by an external organisation. We are aware that:
- some pages use animations as you scroll, which can be demanding on older devices. Turning on the reduce motion setting shows the same content without the animation;
- the booking calendar is an interactive tool. It works with a keyboard and screen reader, but you can also book by calling us on 0800 002 5775; and
- some content from other providers, such as payment pages from Stripe, is outside our direct control. We choose providers who take accessibility seriously.
5. Tell us about a problem
If you find something on our website that is hard to use, please tell us. We would also like to hear if you need information in a different format, such as large print or a document you can use with a screen reader.
- Email hello@utinnovation.co.uk
- Call 0800 002 5775, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
We will reply within 24 to 48 hours, counted on working days only. Requests sent after 4pm are treated as arriving at 9am the next working day.
6. If you are not happy with our response
If you contact us about an accessibility problem and you are not happy with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) at equalityadvisoryservice.com.
7. Reviewing this policy
We review this policy at least once a year, and whenever we make significant changes to our website.
